Our Mission

The Ark Project, a division of the Valley Zoo Development Society, is dedicated to promoting animal conservation and education as part of our commitment to protecting and preserving species on our planet. Our mission is to engage adults aged 18 and above by organizing unique fundraisers and events that raise funds to support the ongoing development of the Edmonton Valley Zoo and its education and conservation programs.

Through our initiatives, such as our popular Zoobrew beer festival and Animal Attraction winter date night, as well as our new series of monthly brewery paint nights and in-Zoo art class series, we aim to create awareness for animal conservation and educate our community about the importance of protecting and preserving our planet’s species. Join us in our mission to make a positive impact on the world around us!

THE EDMONTON

VALLEY ZOO

The Edmonton Valley Zoo is a vital part of our mission at the Ark Project, as it serves as a center for education, research, and conservation efforts. We recognize that by improving the zoo’s facilities and programs, we can enhance the experiences of visitors and inspire greater action for animal conservation. That’s why we’re committed to investing in the ongoing development of the Edmonton Valley Zoo. We’re working with the zoo’s leadership team to identify areas of improvement and to fund initiatives that will enhance the lives of the animals in the zoo’s care. This includes the creation of new habitats, the installation of interactive exhibits, and the development of educational programs that promote conservation efforts.

Our efforts to improve the Edmonton Valley Zoo are relevant because they have a tangible impact on the community. The zoo is a popular destination for families, students, and animal lovers of all ages, and our investments in its growth ensure that it remains a vibrant and engaging resource for years to come. By providing a world-class facility for the care of animals, we’re able to inspire greater awareness and action for animal conservation efforts both locally and globally.

Through our work with the Edmonton Valley Zoo, we’re able to amplify our mission and achieve greater outcomes for animal conservation. We’re proud to support the ongoing development of this important resource, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our community and the natural world.

Strengthening Connections

Between People

& Nature

At the Ark Project, we believe that conservation efforts must start with people. That’s why we prioritize creating events and experiences that foster strong connections between individuals and the natural world. Our goal is to inspire a shared appreciation for nature and to encourage action on behalf of animals everywhere. Our events are designed to bring people together and encourage meaningful interactions with animals and the natural world.

Through our efforts, we hope to inspire a sense of responsibility and stewardship for the world around us. We believe that by fostering a deep connection between people and nature, we can create a world where all life thrives. Join us in our mission to strengthen connections between people and the natural world, and to protect and preserve the planet’s most vulnerable species.

OUR PARTNERS

At the Ark Project, we recognize that our mission to protect and preserve animal species cannot be achieved alone. That’s why we’re proud to work alongside a variety of partners, including the Edmonton Valley Zoo, the Valley Zoo Development Society, and numerous local businesses and companies.

Our partnership with the Edmonton Valley Zoo is particularly important to us, as the zoo serves as a hub for education, research, and conservation efforts. By working closely with the zoo’s leadership team, we’re able to identify areas of need and fund initiatives that improve the lives of the animals in its care. This includes the development of new habitats, the installation of interactive exhibits, and the creation of educational programs that promote conservation efforts.

In addition to our work with the Edmonton Valley Zoo, we’re proud to collaborate with the Valley Zoo Development Society. This organization serves as a key advocate for the zoo, working to secure funding and community support for its ongoing growth and development. By partnering with the Valley Zoo Development Society, we’re able to amplify our impact and achieve greater outcomes for animal conservation.

We also work closely with many local businesses and companies who share our passion for caring for and protecting the Edmonton Valley Zoo. These partnerships take many forms, including event sponsorship, volunteer support, and in-kind donations. By collaborating with these businesses, we’re able to broaden our reach and achieve greater success in our mission.

We’re grateful for the support of all of our partners, and we look forward to continuing to work together to protect and preserve the planet’s most vulnerable species. Together, we can make a difference for animal conservation efforts both locally and globally.
