Courtney is a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Communications Studies program at MacEwan University. She has always loved animals and is passionate about learning about the different species that inhabit our Earth. Courtney enjoys being creative and working with people. She has been involved with various operations within the Valley Zoo Development Society for a few years and loves doing her part to assist in the revitalization of the Valley Zoo while also learning more about the animals that live there and the conservation and sustainability of our planet as a whole. Courtney’s favourite animals include the red pandas and fur seals.

Kaley is a graduate of the Media Studies and Professional Communications Diploma from Red Deer College and is currently taking her bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies from Royal Roads University. She has a passion for creating and communication and loves using these skills to help the animals. She is a kitty mom of two and a proud auntie of two and spends her spare time doing all sorts of crafts. She joined the Ark Project because the Edmonton Valley Zoo has provided her with so many amazing memories and is a favorite place to visit by her and her husband. Her favourite animals at the zoo include the adorable red pandas, seals, and snow leopards.

Jordy has just graduated from the University of Alberta, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science. He had worked for the Valley Zoo Development Society helping to put on fundraising events and decided to continue to help out with the Zoo revitalization and the animal by joining with the Ark Project! Jordy has loved the Valley Zoo ever since he was a little kid on all those school field trips. He cares passionately about conservation and the Valley Zoo’s participation in the Species Survival Plan Program which aims to protect at-risk species. He is looking forward to being able to get out and about, seeing nature this summer. His favorite animal is the black and white ruffed lemur because it reminds him of his favorite childhood tv show – Zoboomafoo!
